Dearth Livestock is a third-generation operation that was ran under a woman at the beginning and then taken over by her son, Larry Dearth, and now Larry’s son, Jake, is ready to take this business to the next level of service. This is a proud family that prides itself to be of service to the agricultural community in southwestern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
All our drivers are Certified in the handling of livestock not only in the barn but also in loading our trailers.
For 85 years the Dearth family has been picking up cattle from farms and delivering them to processing centers in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. They started with pick-up trucks and gooseneck livestock trailers. Eventually they also added semi-trucks and livestock trailers.
The Dearth fleet consists of three Dodge Ram pick-up trucks pulling three EBY gooseneck trailers. It also consists of three Kenworth semi-trucks pulling Merrit trailers.
The semi-trucks run seven days a week, all over the United States. We pick-up Monday through Friday at the farm and you can bring your cattle directly to our reload barn Monday through Thursday.

This is Truck #15 going through the Blanchardville Homecoming. Being a family-owned business, Dearth has strong ties not only to Blanchardville, but also Darlington, Hollandale, Argyle, and the surrounding area. We are proud to service farmers from south central Wisconsin to southwestern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

We haul mostly cattle, but if you need sheep or goats hauled, we will do that. As it was stated, our drivers are all certified BQA (Beef Quality Assurance), PQA (Pork Quality Assurance) and eventually SQA (Sheep Quality Assurance). This goes for our Straight trucks and our Semis.
This our Semi #10. We travel to Green Bay, Twin Cities, and anywhere else in the continental United States.
